The Power of the Word: Reaching the Somali Community

Just before we left for our short trip to the USA, we took a significant step forward by partnering with another team in the city to collaborate on producing the Gospel of John in the Somali language. While we were away, the team printed 10,000 copies and began distributing them.

Now, three weeks into this distribution, we’re witnessing the profound impact of sharing the Gospel in people’s mother tongue. These small booklets have caused quite a stir among the Somali community. Some are outright rejecting them, others are cursing us, accusing us of “deceiving their people,” while still others are receiving them gladly and even expressing their thanks.

We invite you to join us in prayer. Please pray that these booklets reach the right people—those whose hearts are open and ready for the Truth. Also, pray for the emergence of genuine families of peace within this community, who can be a foundation for further outreach and transformation.
