From North Carolina to Cape Town: Following Where God Leads

February and March were full of adventure, challenge, and encouragement. I began in North Carolina, helping lead a 4 Fields training in Winston-Salem. God brought an incredible mix of people—ex-gangsters, blue-collar workers, and university students—into the same room. Over three days, we saw breakthroughs: people discovering their authority to make disciples and plant churches, creating plans for discipleship, and Kira even baptizing a teammate from her university just a day after the training. Moments like these remind you that God is moving in powerful ways.

Next, I spent a few days in Scotland with a friend raising up disciple-makers in St Andrews, particularly among international students. The soil was soft, though workers are few. Qing, a bold Chinese student gifted in evangelism, stood out as someone already raising others to reach Scotland and beyond.

From there, our family took a week in Italy—touring museums, cities, and the Amalfi Coast—while also connecting with our extended team in Lake Como for planning. Lily had an accident on day one, needing emergency surgery in Rome, and we took turns carrying her when wheelchairs weren’t available. She’s doing much better now, though with a long scar to remember the trip by.
Finally, in Cape Town, I joined a group of men passionate about going deeper in Scripture and abiding in Christ. Their heart is to love God fully and, from that place of surrender, lead others to love Him and people through disciple-making. It wasn’t flashy, but it was weighty—men wrestling with the Word, challenging one another, and seeking to multiply disciples and churches. I left humbled, encouraged, and expectant for what God will continue to do through these faithful laborers.
