Baptisms, Breakthroughs, and Bold Decisions

The Afghan church is growing in remarkable and encouraging ways. As more families encounter the hope of the gospel, we are taking steps toward planting two additional churches in the three key areas of town where most Afghan families live. These new gatherings will allow us to walk more closely with those seeking truth and to disciple believers where they already are.

In recent months, we have witnessed more baptisms and a deeper sense of joy among new believers. One powerful story comes from just two weeks ago: a man and his wife, newly born in Christ, were baptized together. Immediately, their faces radiated a joy they said they had never known. Shortly after, one of the local mosques contacted them with an offer of free housing—an attempt to draw them back. But with boldness and clarity, they refused the offer and asked not to be contacted again. Their courage is a testament to the transforming work of Jesus in the Afghan community.
